Description
PressAI Engine Lite is a focused editorial source monitor for WordPress.
It provides a complete free workflow for:
- Adding unlimited RSS/Atom feeds and WordPress sites with a public REST posts endpoint.
- Manually refreshing sources and monitoring basic source health.
- Reviewing newly discovered items in an editorial inbox.
- Duplicate-safe discovery using normalized source links.
- Creating WordPress drafts manually from selected feed/REST items.
- Optional source attribution on created drafts.
- Arabic-ready, RTL/LTR-compatible WordPress administration.
Lite deliberately does not crawl arbitrary HTML pages and does not include AI rewriting, automated publishing, semantic story intelligence, multi-source intelligence, background queues, historical crawling, self-healing, SEO automation, licensing, or a commercial updater. Those capabilities belong to a separate commercial plugin, PressAI Engine Pro. No Pro implementation is included, locked, downloaded, or installed by Lite.
External requests
The plugin makes outbound HTTP requests only to source URLs that an administrator explicitly adds. These requests are necessary to verify and read the configured RSS/Atom feed or WordPress REST posts endpoint. The plugin does not send site data, usage analytics, article data, or personal data to PressAI servers.
Source code and build notes
All JavaScript and CSS shipped with PressAI Engine Lite is human-readable source and is loaded directly from the assets/ directory. No minification, bundling, transpilation, npm, webpack, or other build step is required to reproduce the distributed assets. The JavaScript executed by the plugin is the readable assets/admin.js file included in this package.
Privacy
PressAI Engine Lite stores configured source URLs and discovered article metadata in the local WordPress database. It makes requests only to sources configured by an administrator. It does not transmit this data to PressAI or analytics services.
